Welcome to Bird Country Shorthairs, your last stop to find a high quality, great bloodline German Shorthair. We started raising our first love, German Short-hairs, right after we found our love and got married in 1993. These dogs are a passion for my husband & I, not some sideline, kennel raised timid little dogs. These pups can hunt! We work with them the entire time they are in our care, from socializing with other pups, to working with kids & other animals, including working that fantastic, shorthair nose we all love them for. I repeat, these are NOT kennel dogs! We raise our dogs with the hunt in mind.   You need to have an experienced hunter with these dogs from the get go. How else can the owner know HOW to raise them? We go on one ruff grouse hunting trip a year to Wisconsin and hunt most every weekend in Nebraska or Kansas. We also have several groups that come up from Kentucky, Texas every year, some come 2, 3 times a year. Work can be hard, but it's worth it!

Upon purchase of ANY of our pups we will supply you with AKC papers so you KNOW what your getting, a super high quality, great pedigree German Shorthair ready to be trained by you or us. Ask about our training and prices. These pups have beautiful liver and black color and markings. After purchase, we can make arrangements for pickup or delivery. If you live up to a 3 to 5 hour radius we can meet half way.
